How to maintain your Battle Mat?
Here are some tips for properly maintaining your mousepad playmat:
- Regularly clean your mat with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust.
- If your carpet is very dirty, you can wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use harsh chemicals which may damage the mat.
- If the rug is really stained, you can machine wash it at 30* max, and especially no spinning.
- To iron your carpet, place a bath towel on the printed part. Use your iron in "very low heat" mode, you can then increase the temperature depending on the expected result.
- BUT NEVER AT HIGH HEAT.
- NEVER IRON THE CARPET DIRECTLY.
DO NOT IRON THE RUBBER PART!!
- Allow your mat to dry completely before rolling or storing.
- Store your mat flat or rolled up, in a dry place away from direct light. In its carrying bag it's perfect. If possible store your mat horizontally, or hang it on a rod via the small battle bag strap.
- Avoid bending or twisting your carpet excessively, this could damage it.
By following these tips, your carpet should stay in good condition for many years to come.
